The Secret Unveiled: My 14-Day Descent into Madness

About:

Welcome to my 14-day project page. The goal of this project is to test the validity of the claims made by author Rhonda Byrne in her hugely popular books The Secret and The Power.

Making a brief summary for people who are not familiar with the topic, in a nutshell "The Secret" is the claim stated by Byrne that humans innately possess the ability to communicate with the Universe just by having thoughts and feeling emotions, and that the Universe will "manifest" more of that which an individual has thought about or felt. She calls this the "Law of Attraction."

For example, by the Law of Attraction, if you believe without any doubt that you will get a new bike, and/or if you keep imagining yourself riding the said bike, you will actually receive it. The same goes for emotions; the more of one emotion that you feel, the more events that spark the same emotion will come into your life. Yes, Byrne implies that with mastery of the Secret, one can  almost do or be what they want.

For more information, please visit the official website of The Secret:

The "Law of Attraction:
1. Like attracts like, so when you think a thought, you are also attracting like thoughts to you.

2. Thoughts are magnetic, and thoughts have a frequency. As you think thoughts, they are sent out into the Universe, and they magnetically attract all like things that are on the same frequency. Everything sent out returns to the source - you.

3.You are like a human transmission tower, transmitting a frequency with your thoughts. If you want to change anything in your life, change the frequency by changing your thoughts.

4. Your current thoughts are creating your future life. What you think about the most or focus on the most will appear in your life.

5. Your thoughts become things."
.
.
.
The method that I am using for this behavioral project is that by utilizing the suggestions from books The Secret and The Power, I will try to manifest chocolate - something I have a passion for - into my life, and at the end of the 14 days, tally the number of times I received chocolate. Other themes (besides "does the Law of Attraction work") I hope to explore with this project are:
1. What role does belief (religion) and positive thinking have in people's everyday lives?
2. Is positive thinking all one needs in order to obtain personal goals?

Day 1- March 1st: Dailies, Ramblings, The Power of Faith:

To spice things up and to add some structure to my postings, each daily post will consist of 2 major sections: "Dailies" and "ramblings." The Dailies section will consist of one (or more) guideline(s) from The Secret or The Power, or one specific incident mentioned in the books where someone successfully "benefits" from the Law of Attraction. "Ramblings" will just consist of thoughts that pop into my head (think stream of consciousness) and how I actually lived my day. This section may not be very organized or coherent; it will look more like a brainstorm.

Here goes :)

Daily-
"Think of something you love, and make it your symbol of the force of love. Whenever you see your symbol or hear it, you will know that the force of love is with you" - Rhonda Byrne from The Power.
So...taking your advice Byrne, I suppose I will make my family my "symbol of the force of love?" I should probably keep a picture of them close by. Perhaps make them my desktop wallpaper. Thanks Byrne, this should help me become a happier person overall, but may not necessarily help me receive chocolate (d'oh).

Ramblings-
"Faith is a gift." I don't remember where I heard this saying from, but I think I understood its meaning. It means that it is not easy to "have faith" (to just believe in things) and that having religious faith - regardless of the legitimacy of the religion - gives a person purpose, guidance, and hope. It mostly depends on how a person is educated. It is not easy for everybody to just believe in God, for example, because there is never visible, solid evidence. As it is difficult for some to believe in God, I find it difficult to believe that chocolate will miraculously appear in my life just because I intend it to. Fortunately (or not), Rhonda Byrne implies that I simply have to have frequent positive thoughts about chocolate to bring it into my life.

First thing I did to start off the day was think about how grateful I am for everything (especially for chocolate). But other than that what I did today wasn't much- I mostly stayed at home reviewing both The Secret and The Power and thought about what I should do each day. I also spent a lot of time in laying in bed (I admit that I am extremely lazy), trying to think about chocolate, but..

Surprisingly today was the first time that I noticed a flaw in my project- that there are way too many distractions around me! In order to increase my success rate, I am supposed to think about chocolate as often and as intensely as I can, but things such as homework, going to classes, and other distractions (such as Facebook, online messaging, checking my email) distract me an awful lot more than I expected. Heck, as of this moment I am struggling between thinking about delicious Hershey's Cookies n' Cream bars and coherent writing.

Oh yes, this really gets me salivating. I wonder if physiological reactions / release of hormones (aren't they the cause of emotions?) counts as positive thinking in Byrne's book (literally). But I will get into this on another day.

Another thing is if somebody I knows reads this blog and gives me chocolate as a result, would that count? Therefore I have decided that, if you do read this blog and intend to give me chocolate gifts as a result, please tell me, because your circumstances will be (or will it be?) different than those who are giving me chocolate without knowing about this blog (funny eh?).

Day 2 March 2nd- Action vs Passiveness, Specificity

Daily- Rhonda Byrne quotes a feng shui consultant giving an art director/film producer advice on romance. The film producer claims that he is surrounded by women, yet he does not have any romance. He is then suggested to paint himself with three women and hang it in every corner of his living space. According to the feng shui consultant, six months later, the film producer is having three dates a week. He then tells her that he wants to settle down. Next, the consultant tells him to "paint it" again, and a year later he gets married.
Now this isn't exactly evidence of the Law of Attraction working, but it also doesn't rule out the possibility of it being the catalyst. I suppose it is still based on faith, and is certainly still worth a try. What I mean is that soon, I will draw pictures of me receiving chocolates and hang them around my room.

Ramblings-
Take a look at my new mouth-watering desktop background:

I went jogging today, and as I briefly felt the natural high of exercise, I tried to associate it with thoughts of chocolate. Unfortunately it wasn't the only thing I was thinking about; since I didn't want to "waste" my high, I couldn't keep myself from thinking about transferring into 4-year colleges. At least I was trying to use the Law of Attraction.

"Actions are particularly powerful, because they are thoughts that have caused us to act," states Byrne on page 114 of The Secret. I don't really get what this means; it's almost like saying that in order to get something, we have to act accordingly. But if I consciously expect things to come to me by using the Law of Attraction, how much would my actions count? For example, by simply wishing for chocolate, are the rules of the Secret supposed to spur me into action and buy chocolates or am I supposed to remain "passive" and refrain from doing so. But by refraining to do so, I would technically be emanating a desire to not eat chocolate.

At any rate, from now on I will not only focus my thoughts and emotions on the eating of chocolate; rather I will focus my attention on imagining that I will receive chocolate from others, as gifts. I suppose this kind of eliminates the problem of whether my thinking about going to a store for chocolate is part of the Law of Attraction's doing.

As far as the books go, the Law of Attraction kind of promotes a passive way of living, a rather different approach than the conventional "work hard." For example, Byrne suggests "imagining checks arriving in the mail" as one of the ways to get richer. While this may seem convenient, I believe that it would be bad if people completely rely on this way of thinking, even if it works! This is because I think that much of the world hinges on hard work. For example, imagine a scenario where every single person of the world is living on that attitude. I'd think that the vast majority of people are selfish and want to receive things they want in exchange for their minimum effort. Well, will there be enough providers? Inventors? The world we live in now has many roles and jobs, many of which people will not be willing to take if the Law of Attraction was real. But then again, you never know, the world may actually be a better place if it was run by the Law of Attraction. It's just hard to imagine.

Another thing I contemplated about today was specificity , meaning what kind of chocolates should I be thinking about? My concern is, maybe if I think about many different types of chocolates, my desires would be inconsistent and therefore not manifest easily. For example, M&M's and Snickers are both chocolates, but they are quite different. If the Law of Attraction was true, one might really have to organize  their thoughts. Thus, I have decided that I will try my best and not focus my mind on brand names or distinct tastes or looks, but rather the chocolatey taste and brown color that all milk chocolates share.

Day 3 March 3rd: The “Clash” of 6.8 Billion

Daily- “There are no accidents or coincidences in life – everything is synchronicity – because everything has a frequency. It's simply the physics of life and the universe in action.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Power

Ramblings-
I really doubt that everything, for example the sudden death of beloved one is “no accident.” “Everything happens for a reason” sounds more plausible, and might just be what Byrne means. But, this does make me think: with happiness, there much be sadness, with good, there must be bad, etc. in order for us to understand their differences. Is it really possible, if everyone has mastered the Secret, for the world to become a paradise? Given the different ideals and desires of every person, it would not be an easy feat. On the other hand, people might actually be vying for power and limited resources.

I wish for chocolate, yet probably the most probable way for some to end up in my hands is if someone gives them to me as a gift. What I mean is, if I wish for chocolate, I would most likely have to attract the desires of another person and cause them to give me chocolate. However, what if they used the Law of Attraction as well (whether consciously or unconsciously)? All of the people around me and the people I interact with probably don't have desires to give me any chocolate to begin with. Thus, based on this, unless I – with my “superior” knowledge of the Secret – have some way of overpowering the desires (and thus “attractions”) of other people, I won't be getting any chocolate from them. On the other hand, what still keeps me hopeful is that many motivational speakers and leaders are able to sway others and be loved, although “mind-control” might be a bit far-fetched. Based on what I said today, I think I should change my way of doing things; instead of only sitting at home meditating about chocolate, I should probably try to express my desire of wanting to eat chocolate to my friends openly.

Back to the original idea of people having conflicting “attractions,” there are almost 6.8 billion people in the world, all potentially able to execute the Law of Attraction. You may try to attract the event of winning the lottery for example, but how many people in total might be doing the same? In the end, how does an event actually play out? Does someone's desires overpower those of everyone else, or is it all just random probability? Or perhaps there is a higher power, and everything happens for a reason? We may never find an answer.

Day 4 March 4th: Physical Limitations of the Secret

Daily- “Whatever desire you can imagine already exists! It doesn't matter what it is: if you can imagine it, it already exists in creation.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Power
What exactly does Byrne mean? There are plenty of things that I can think of but I know cannot happen or exist. Perhaps Byrne doesn't really mean it; maybe this serves as more of a motivational line.

Ramblings- Amidst my personal life and school life, instead of trying to make more time for thinking about chocolates, I tried to increase the intensity of my emotions. Today I decided to utilize youtube to aid in my meditations, for example:

Going back to the topic of the Daily, after thinking about how to prove or disprove certain aspects of the Law of Attraction, I have finally come across something where I can almost confidently say is a limitation of the Law of Attraction, and that is “physical limitations.” For instance, if I keep thinking about having super powers, such as being able to fly or turn invisible, there is absolutely no chance that will ever happen. The Law of Attraction must follow the laws of physics.

To follow up, maybe some wishes don't come true, as realistic and probable of coming true that they may be, because of some “physical limitation.” Perhaps something like energy expenditure or equilibrium attributes to this. Thus the Law of Attraction not only has to adhere to the laws of physics, but also to the laws of planet Earth, for example its gravitational pull, etc.

Daily Chocolate count: still 0

Day 5 March 5th: Quantum Physics

Daily- “When you imagine anything positive that you want and love, you are harnessing the force of love. Push your imagination to the limits, and imagine the best and highest that you possibly can of whatever it is that you want.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Power
In my head, lots of thoughts go on, some are of realistic things, but most of my thoughts are actually abstract. If the Law of Attraction was true, how exactly does the universe respond to abstract or bizarre thoughts? Perhaps “it” is able to perceive and pinpoint people's desires? The notion of the universe actually “thinking and perceiving” is strange indeed.

Ramblings- It is finally Saturday, and yet I find it difficult to concentrate on thinking about chocolates. That is because there are so many things I am tempted to dream about on the weekends, such as going out, playing video games and such. However it is already day 5, and I still haven't received as much as an ounce of chocolate. Perhaps I do need to concentrate harder.

Yesterday I talked about how the Law of Attraction should adhere to the limitations of physics. Then again, a big part of “what happens” actually depends on a person's subjective perception. For example although ages ago people believed that Earth was flat, it was actually spherical, and so yes the Law of Attraction obeyed the scientific law, but meanwhile, in every human beings' eyes Earth was still flat. Perhaps one way that the universe responds through the Law of Attraction is in the alteration or taking away of one's senses and perception.

However, there has been a lot of acknowledgment in modern science of quantum theory, which roughly states that matter equal energy, and that the physical limitations that we know of are actually inaccurate. Perhaps then, the reason that the Law of Attraction can defy Newtonian laws of physics and simply does not because nobody truly believes (has actual faith) that it is possible.

My brain is about to be fried from all this contemplation about how the Secret works, so tomorrow I'll try to find a different topic.

Daily Chocolate count: still zero!

Day 6 March 6th: Defining Thoughts, Almost Half-time

Daily-”Like Aladdin's Genie, the law of attraction grants our every command.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Secret
I am really beginning to think that a lot of Byrne's tips are not meant to be taken literally but instead for motivation. Maybe I am being too pessimistic.

Ramblings-
In my head, lots of different thoughts go on, some are of realistic things, but most of my thoughts are actually abstract. Also, even though I can formulate an image in my head, I cannot necessarily draw it on paper; the thought is actually blur of an image in my head. If the Law of Attraction was true, how exactly does the universe respond to abstract or bizarre thoughts? Is the universe able to perceive the underlying context of each thought process and emotion?

Yesterday, I went out with some friends, but although I expressed my desire for chocolates, none of them responded in the way I wanted. What I have decided to do now is to make my desires more “concrete” for the universe to recognize. At one day short of half-time and still having received no chocolate, I am going to resort to something that I never thought I'd to: buy chocolate. Perhaps actually experiencing and perceiving chocolate with my senses will allow me to emanate a stronger and clearer frequency to the universe.

Later:
I decided to have just a small taste of chocolate with a snickers ice cream bar. It is so unbearably delicious to me! Now that I have eaten chocolate, I will count it as one for today (making the note that it was bought by myself). Of course, the main purpose of eating this chocolate ice cream bar is so that I can savor the moment and truly feel and remind myself and love what it is like to eat chocolate. Universe, give me more!

The big question is, is my buying of chocolate a result of the Law of Attraction or not? Regardless of if it is or not, taking action instead of remaining passive seems to be at an advantage here.

Day 7 March 7th: The Secret and Other Drugs

Daily: I recall in “The Secret” documentary that there was a man who recovered from a permanently crippling disease because – by his claim – he used the Law of Attraction; he focused his thoughts on walking again, indeed he was able to walk again in a few months.
The thing about the Secret is that there is no real way to prove it right or wrong, just like other religious faiths, but being of something of the metaphysical almost makes it more compelling, like a fantasy or a dream-come-true.

Ramblings:
Today is just an ordinary day of school. Is my limited presence amongst my friends and family a factor in me not receiving chocolate?

Next weekend I should really try to indulge myself in some alcohol and maybe get a little drunk. This is because I have been thinking, does getting “high” off alcohol and other drugs, etc actually count as positive feelings that can be applied to the Law of Attraction? If so, can these “positive feelings” be completely attributed to the release of hormones? Now that doesn't sound very in-line with the Secret.

Also, if drugs and alcohol make a person feel better, why is that people who practice substance abuse often have much more problems than people who don't? Are they just not focusing their thoughts on positive things, or maybe they generate more negative feelings than people who don't practice substance abuse during the times that they're sober?

Day 8 March 8th: The Secret and Maniacs
Daily- “To harness the force of love in your life to bring something you want or change something you don't want, the Creation Process is always the same: Imagine it. Feel it. Receive it.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Power.

Ramblings-
It has been difficult to concentrate on thoughts of eating and receiving chocolate when I am at class all day.

What I'd like to talk about today is sort of an extension of the substance abuse topic that I discussed yesterday. Like how substance abuse should but doesn't seem to have a positive effect on the Law of Attraction (based on the overall well-being of these people), mental disorders don't seem to support existence of the Secret.

By the Law of Attraction, people with mental disorders should be able to manifest things just as ordinary people do. From my point of view, it should be much easier for people with certain mental problems to be able to believe in something without being skeptical, which should strengthen the frequencies of attraction they are emanating. Again, I may be wrong in that they are not actually focusing on their desires as they should be as stated by Rhonda Byrne, but if the Law of Attraction was true, disorders such as delusions of grandeur should put them at a better place than ordinary people. Then again, maybe it is just the belief that counts, and that they truly already believe that they already have what they desire.

Day 9 March 9th: True Happiness
Daily- “The more love in your field, the more power you have to attract the things you love.”

Ramblings-
I keep forgetting to mention that I try to attain as many natural highs as I can, mostly by either jogging around places or listening to music, and associating my happiness with chocolates. Speaking of happiness, what is the level of happiness needed to attract something? Sometimes it is hard to put mood on a rating scale. I'm saying that sometimes it's hard to even tell whether you're happy or sad! Thus, when I think that I am happy and in turn try to attract positive things, but on the whole if I am actually stressed by something in my unconscious, I may attract negative things instead.

Regrettably, today I only have the time to make a relatively brief post – I have an important lab report that I have procrastinated on and that I must finish in time.

Day 10 March 10th: Priorities
Daily- “Your feelings are the power of your thoughts and words. It's what you feel that matters!” - Rhonda Byrne, The Power.
Sometimes it is difficult to identify and describe how we feel; sometimes one doesn't even know if he/she is happy or sad.

Ramblings-
It is already day ten, and I still haven't received any chocolate or even see more chocolate than the snickers ice cream bar I bought for myself and the videos and images that I view online.

Something I think about now is if I made the right choice choosing chocolate as the item I want to manifest with the Law of Attraction. This is because even though I love eating it, wanting to get chocolate actually might be trivial when compared to my other, more subconscious desires and duties. That is, I may not realize it, but my heart and inner thoughts might actually be prioritizing other things over receiving chocolate, and thus making my feelings not as strong.

Despite all of these thoughts, I mustn't give up until the end! I am trying to keep up with trying to do as much meditation exercise as possible.

Day 11 March 11th: Timing of the Secret

Daily- “To attract money, focus on wealth. It is impossible to bring more money into your life when you focus on the lack of it.” -Rhonda Byrne The Secret
Maybe I am not utilizing the tools of the Secret to their fullest potential after all, but how am I going to focus on abundance of chocolates if at the same time I am trying to bring more into my life? Maybe my point of view needs to change; I may need to focus more on feelings of abundance more than craving (although it is a little it late to realize that).

Ramblings- Another school week has passed by and it is already Friday! Today I finally had a break through; while I was visiting my cousin at his house, he actually offered me M&M's! The thought of me getting M&M's from my cousin did cross my mind and is partly why I visited him, and this is something he has done frequently in the past, but I cannot discredit this act and will add this first time that I actually received chocolate from someone else to my tally, bringing my total count to two, including the snickers ice cream bar I bought for myself. However, noting the fact that I took the initiative to call my cousin and visit him, again, like for day 6, taking action triumphs over passive waiting.

Edit: I just realized something, I mentioned M&M's and Snickers as being distinct chocolates in my first blog post, and now they are also the type of chocolates that I actually received!

Today's big thought is how does the Law of Attraction “handle” timing? So far, there is nothing mentioned other than “soon” that indicates when and object or event can and will be manifested. Perhaps manifesting something sooner is directly proportional to the intensity of emotion and frequency of thought.

Day 12 March 12th: Society's Established Norms

Daily: “Do not listen to society's messages about diseases and aging. Negative messages do not serve you.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Secret

Ramblings: It is Saturday, and I have invited a friend over for drinks tonight. Hopefully I won't get carried away and will focus my high on imagining tasty and smooth chocolates!

Can the society's established norms actually be something that restricts the potential of people to use the Law of Attraction? What Byrne is saying as quoted in the Daily, is that we should not be aware of how to prevent or offset (scientifically at least) disease and symptoms of aging. While I understand where she is coming from, saying that we should believe in our “unlimited potential,” something I find strange is that harm often comes unexpectedly before being able to think about it; we don't get sick because we have negative thoughts about our health, we just get sick. Heck, if I am aware of how to prevent a disease and lead a healthy lifestyle, I would not even begin to think about myself getting sick. People that believe they are healthy and feel healthy should, on the contrary emit a frequency of an abundance of health, which should in turn attract more good health.

Perhaps what Byrne is trying to say is that we should transcend the notion of health and age, and assume complete, one-hundred percent control over what we are. But that seems extremely difficult to do, given the education that Byrne is trying to give is completely different from what we have learned growing up. For now I am going to continue taking the initiative in being aware of how to be healthy and maintaining good health.

Turns out my friend did not bring any chocolate, but we did have a good time drinking!

Day 13: Benefits of the Secret

Daily- “Laughter attracts joy, releases negativity, and leads to miraculous cures.”

Ramblings- I have spent so many days and posts trying to debunk the Secret that I have almost failed to address one of the core questions presented in my project, which is “what are the benefits of positive thinking?” The Law of Attraction has positive thinking as its core rule, as it is the origin of all the good things that a person manifests. Whether it is true or false, the positivity that the Secret promotes is of course beneficial. Having practiced the Law of Attraction for almost two weeks, I have been feeling quite a bit more happy and uplifted than before. It is beneficial that the Law of Attraction asks of you to control your own feelings and become a happier person as a whole.

On the other hand, negative aspects of the Secret might be time wasted (if it were false), and definitely the passiveness that it suggests. “Visualizing checks in the mail,” does not really fit into the general category of productive behavior, and may actually be detrimental if the Law of Attraction did not work or if that person is not using it properly.

Daily Chocolate Count: 0
Stayed at home (passiveness)!

Day 14: Morality of The Secret

Daily- “Now that you have learned the knowledge of The Secret, what you do with it is up to you. Whatever you choose is right. The power is all yours.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Secret.

Ramblings- I had an interesting thought today. There always have been gray areas in what is right and wrong, moral and immoral. What of the people who find passion, positivity and even love in the immoral and use the Law of Attraction to manifest undesirable things that influence other peoples' lives? With people like this around, the world would become chaotic if they attained power. Would there have to be people like the police, except they also used the Secret to combat those who go against our moral code?

Today is finally the last day of the project and today again I received no chocolate. Therefore the total number of times I got chocolate is 2, including one that I bought for myself.
Daily Chocolate Count: 0

Total Chocolate Count: 2

Concluding Remarks:

By following the teachings of Rhonda Byrne through her books The Secret and The Power for two weeks trying to manifest something that I love – chocolate – I have learned many things throughout the process. Primarily what I have addressed, apart from whether the Law of Attraction actually works or not, is the role religion and positive thinking – the essence of the Law of Attraction – play in people's everyday lives, and if positive thinking is the only thing one needs in order to obtain all personal goals. I received chocolate a total of two times within the fourteen days, although for one of the times I bought the chocolate myself.

Much like many people of certain religious faiths, I “prayed” everyday by meditating on the thought and feeling of eating chocolate. This was, for the most part, beneficial to me, because it gave me a sense of purpose, happiness, as well as sort of a “dream-come-true” kind of excitement. It caused me to devote more of my time to both mentally and physically healthy behavior such as jogging in the park and listening to classical music. Ultimately, I think the most important thing that I learned from this experience was that I was the one in control of my feelings. Similar to how most religions advocate and provide a means for consolation, The Law of Attraction promotes positive thinking and self-control, and regardless of whether it is real or not, I became a happier person with more tools for keeping myself happy.

I disagree with Byrne in that she implies that positive thinking is all people need to get what they want. In fact, both times that I ate chocolate in the last two weeks, I took some initiative if not complete initiative. The first time was when I bought myself a snickers ice cream bar. Although it may have seemed counter-intuitive for my project, I ate that chocolate bar in order to remind myself of how good chocolate tastes and help “boost” my thoughts of chocolate. The second time that I ate chocolate was when I visited my cousin who I knew often kept M&M's at his house. He offered me some. Again, chocolate came into my life as a result of my actions. Perhaps both of these instances should not count as me “manifesting” chocolate using the Law of Attraction, but on the other hand, the books do mention that our actions are the results of our thoughts, and thus my buying of chocolate may actually be the Law of Attraction working. All in all, I still believe that taking action is necessary in order to obtain personal goals.

With the theories of the Law of Attraction, it is a constant tug-of-war of what the truth is. With every revision of significant quotes in The Secret and The Power, I can't help but doubt with some of the improbable statements that are made. Ironically, my constant skepticism may also have lead to the result of manifesting less chocolate than if I had full confidence in Byrne's teachings. One of the challenges of this project was definitely that it was hard to sincerely believe in everything in the books, having been educated a different way. It does however seem “convenient” to Rhonda Byrne that there is no real proof against the romantic Law of Attraction. Also, with the vagueness of some of the concepts, I was unable to provide concrete statistics as to whether I actually attracted chocolate into my life or not. I deciding to say no, because both of the times where I received chocolate I took some initiative, and thinking about chocolate every day didn't even seem to make me see more chocolate in my life (other than on youtube and Google).
My 14-day project was both educational and fun to me. After doing the project I feel like I grew as a person even. It was interesting looking at different quotes from the book each day and trying to debunk the Secret, only to refute myself at the end with “but this does not disprove the Law of Attraction.” It was also fun trying to find different ways to make myself happier, watching tons of commercials of chocolates on youtube, and finally trying to think of interesting things to blog about. My only regret is that the 14 days is too short for the type of project I have chosen, so perhaps I will keep thinking about chocolate and see if I can continue this project minus the blogging part.

  1. So far, the posts are good, but you never actually mention if you encounter or receive any chocolate. Be sure to focus on monitoring the amount of chocolate that you actually receive each day!
